In pursuance to the internationalization thrusts as embodied in the mission-vision-goals of the University of Regina Carmeli, the International Relations Office (IRO) was created effective February, 2007. The office envisions to be a major contributor to the globalization process throughout the university system, more particularly in its trilogy functions: instruction, research and extension. Specifically, IRO shall be responsible on the following areas of concerns:

Admission of international students and responding to their academic and socio-cultural needs such as orientations, guidance, legal documentation requirements, lodging placements, etc.
Facilitates exchange agreement opportunities for Faculty and Students
Initiates packaging of academic, extension and research program offerings to enhance the capability building of the university.
Promotion and marketing of university programs and services to international market.
International travel arrangements of university personnel and students.
Accommodation of URC's foreign guests.
