College of Allied Medical Sciences Pass Level II PACUCOA Re-accreditation Status; College of Hospitality Management Pass Candidate Staus for Level I

URC’s Nursing and Hotel and Restaurant Management programs had successfully hurdled the scrutiny of one among the renowned accrediting bodies of The Philippine Association of Colleges and Universities Commission on Accreditation (PACUCOA) .

The College of Allied Medical Sciences’ Nursing Program, under the deanship of Ms. Tess Anies, RN, MAN obtained a LEVEL II First Reaccreditation Status for a five-year period from August 2008 to August 2014 as indicated in a certificate dated August 3, 2009.

Prior to the granting of certificate, 9 Critical Areas were thoroughly revisited by accreditors on June 29 to July 1, 2009. Dr. Helen Salac, as chairman of the accrediting team, reviewed the areas of Purposes and Objectives and Organization and Administration. Other team members who were assigned to review the conformance to standards of other areas were as follows: Faculty , Instruction and Laboratories - Mr. Mitchell Borja (HRM) and Ms. Myrna Britiler (Nursing); Library – Ms. Leonor Tiu; Physical Plant and Facilities - Engr. Severino Pader; Student Personnel Services and Social Orientation and Community Involvement - Ms. Veronica Alfonso.

The Nursing Program of URC had its preliminary visit on February 26 – 28, 2002 and was granted a candidate status for Level I on January 29, 2003. It obtained its Level I Formal Accreditation Status on July of 2008.

The College of Hospitality Management has likewise passed the candidate status and is ready to apply for a formal visit.
