VISION

The College of Computer Science and Engineering  is envisioned to be a center of excellence in Information and Technology and Engineering; and to be recognized as a world class producer of technically competent graduates imbued with Catholic-Augustinian values and nationalistic commitment to efficient management of technology and resources.




MISSION

In the context of the above vision, the College commits itself to:

  1. Offer quality and relevant computing and engineering education that will prepare graduates of engineering, design, develop software application and integrated computer-based system;
  2. Perform application research in the areas of computationalscience and engineering, computer networks, intelligent system, multimedia software engineering, theory and algorithm; comparable to international trends;
  3. Promote and establish linkages with educational institutions, professional organizations and other industry both local and foreign;
  4. Broaden access to deserving learners regardless of age, gender, race and creed; and
  5. Promote the Augustinian values of future orientation, sense of interconnectedness, patience and service to community.

GOALS

To be able to initiate innovative programs in the area of computer science, engineering and technology, the college proposes:

  1. To conduct applied research along systems development courseware and instructional materials development, automation and control, and computer networks.
  2. To offer affordable and accessible computer and engineering educational programs.
  3. To promote and maximize the use of university IT resources.
  4. To provide leadership within the university and external community on the effective and responsible use of technology.
  5. Promote and nurture a Catholic-Augustinian sense of environmental stewardship on the use of technology and service to others through computer technology.
