THE GRADUATE SCHOOL FOUNDATIONAL STATEMENTS

VISION STATEMENT

Guided by the Augustinian Spirituality, the Graduate School envisions to be a center for training and development, a provider of locally and globally competent leaders in the area of education, public administration, business management, and behavioral sciences, leaders whose professional competence, ethics, an keen sense of Filipino culture could be harnessed in pushing the frontiers of knowledge and in delivering vital community services for the enhancement of the quality of life in Philippine society.

MISSION STATEMENT

The Graduate School commits itself to offer Catholic education programs and services that are:

  1. responsive to local and international standards of quality and excellence in graduate education;
  2. relevant to the needs of clients and communities, and to the dynamically changing domestic and international environment particularly in the Province of Bulacan;
  3. in partnership with higher education institutions, user sectors, and other public and private agencies, both local and foreign;
  4. capable of generating higher education knowledge skills, values and attitudes that can be responsively applied to the larger community, for the enhancement of the quality of life of individuals and society; and
  5. accessible to deserving learners.

DEPARTMENT GOALS

  1. To provide business education that is Catholic and Augustinian in character and responsive to international standards of quality and excellence;
  2. To promote the development of critical thinking among       students in the analysis of business issues and concerns;
  3. To train students to become agents of change in business  organization through knowledge development and technology transfer;
  4. To cater to the development of poor communities through the creation of short term programs, activities and livelihood  opportunities; and
  5. To create a Nationalist perspective on business issues and concerns and to respond to the global challenges of business enterprises.

PROGRAM GOALS

Business and Management Programs

  1. Develop leaders grounded with sound management principles and theories and with sufficient exposure to contemporary problems and issues in business and                management.
  2. Become catalyst of change and development in business and management organization.
  3. Become a center for research and development in the areas of business and management.
  4. Create Catholic nationalist perspective in responding to business issues and problems and in delivering relevant community services for the enhancement of the quality of life of individuals and society.
  5. Nurture the Augustinian virtues/ethical values and the understanding and appreciation of corporate social responsibility.

Public Administration Program

  1. Develop leaders grounded with sound public administration principles/theories and with sufficient exposure in local government problems and issues.
  2. Become catalyst of change and development in local government administration.
  3. Become a catalyst for research and development in public administration.
  4. Create Catholic nationalist perspective in responding to public administration issues and problems and in delivering relevant community services for the enhancement of the quality of life of individuals and society.
  5. Nurture the Augustinian virtues/ethical values and the understanding and appreciation of corporate social responsibility.

Education Program

  1. Develop educational leaders grounded with sound pedagogical principles/theories and with sufficient exposure to contemporary problems and issues in education.
  2. Become catalyst of change and development in schools by applying knowledge responsibly to problems to be of help to individuals as well as institutions.
  3. Become a center for research in education and manpower development.
  4. Create Catholic nationalist perspective in responding to education issues and problems and in delivering relevant community services for the enhancement of the quality of life of individuals and society.
  5. Nurture the Augustinian virtues/ethical values and the understanding and appreciation of corporate social responsibility.

Behavioral Science Program

  1. Develop leaders grounded with sound foundation in behavioral principles/theories (psychology, sociology, and anthropology) and with sufficient exposure in contemporary behavioral issues and problems.
  2. Become catalyst of change and development in organization.
  3. Become a catalyst for research and development in the areas of behavioral science.
  4. Create Catholic nationalist perspective in responding to behavioral issues and problems and in delivering relevant community services for the enhancement of the quality of life of individuals and society.
  5. Nurture the Augustinian virtues/ethical values and the understanding and appreciation of corporate social responsibility.
